We initially took on Suzanne's case in July 2017. She was born with a complicated case of developmental dislocation of the hip (DDH).

We brought Suzanne in for surgery three times, but each time doctors informed us that she was too ill to have the surgery. We helped the family by providing them with medication to treat a number of her health conditions, including dehydration following diarrhea and influenza.

Our funding for our orthopedics project (which includes treatment for children with developmental dislocation of the hip) is only available until March 2018, and doctors advised us that Suzanne would not be ready to undergo her medical plan before this point. Therefore we had to make the difficult decision to close the case for the foreseeable future, which was communicated with her parents.
